How weird is it that...

Flabby arms are called bingo wings. Well, according to my flatmates, not very weird at all! Earlier today I was remarking on the coincidence that a tv advert for bingo only featured fat elderly ladies. I thought I had stumbled upon the remarkable discovery that companies featured women with bingo wings in their adverts to make people think of bingo any time they saw ladies with hefty triceps. However, I soon found out that it was the thanks to these roly-poly women waving around their completed cards that our flabby arms got their names. Say it with me everyone... BINGO!

How weird is it that......

Bananas split equally into thirds. I tend to eat them a third at a time. I find it rather therapeutic. I wonder whether the symmetry of the banana has something to do with pi. It seems to crop up in the natural world a lot, and there is a phenomenon of relating patterns in nature to pi. I propose the symmetry of the banana is all thanks to that magical mathematical constant, 3.14159265....
